Lynette Wallworth

EXHIBITION: National Glass Centre, Sunderland, UK, March 17 to June 17
Lynette Wallworth (b. 1961, Sydney) is an Australian artist whose practice spans video installation, photography, short film, and performance. In her current body of work, she specialises in the creation of gently immersive installation environments which offer a tactile gateway. Frequently the works are developed in series to provide a sense of a cumulative process that changes over time. The environments are not passive spaces but rely on activation by the participant/viewer. The interplay between the moving image, sound, space and visitor as component elements in the ecosystem of a work is the artist’s primary focus.

EXHIBITION at Yorkshire Sculpture Park: Leo Fitzmaurice
28/01/2007 by admin.
Sometimes The Things You Touch Come True
Yorkshire Sculpture Park - Upper Space, Visitor Centre
31 March - 10 June 2007
The bombardment of information and the impact it has on our daily lives is the context for work by Liverpool based artist, Leo Fitzmaurice. In the past Fitzmaurice has worked with posters, flyers and commercial packaging; by removing, obscuring or subtly reworking everyday materials he creates intelligent and witty structures, sculptures and installations.
