EXHIBITION: National Glass Centre, Sunderland, UK, March 17 to June 17

Lynette Wallworth (b. 1961, Sydney) is an Australian artist whose practice spans video installation, photography, short film, and performance. In her current body of work, she specialises in the creation of gently immersive installation environments which offer a tactile gateway. Frequently the works are developed in series to provide a sense of a cumulative process that changes over time. The environments are not passive spaces but rely on activation by the participant/viewer. The interplay between the moving image, sound, space and visitor as component elements in the ecosystem of a work is the artist’s primary focus.

Like in any aspect of design the attention to details makes a good design perfect. So when all furniture is in place you’ll need some accents to finish it off. It doesn’t come to mind at first instance but there is a fragile beauty called glass. I’ve found a perfect Belgian designer called Anna Torfs that has a gift of breathing life into her colorful glass pieces.
